AUTUMN 2007
PIRATES!
You may not believe it but the Y2 classes found 2 old maps in the school garden which we believed had been left by pirates and indicated lost treasure. We decided that as we found them it was our duty to investigate the locations.
Both Y2 classes set out on a journey to Beacon Wood and Loxley Valley to investigate the black cross!
Y2E found jigsaw pieces and a key on their walk. They also had many riddles to solve along the way.
Y2S found a locked treasure box. I wonder where the key will be found?
We also found jigsaw pieces!
Y2S had lots of fun in Beacon Wood. We played a game where we had to guess the tree we had just felt.
We also found objects to match 'wow' words.
Back in school we realised that they key found on 2E's walk unlocked the box found on 2S's walk. We worked as a team to open the box and do a jigsaw. The box contents informed us that we were all part of the pirate band and had duties to complete as pirates.
