Y2E class visited Peveril Castle and Treak Cliff Cavern in Castleton on Wednesday 14 May.
First we visited Peveril Castle. We found out lots of information about the castle: How old is the castle? Why is it where it is? Is it a good place for it? Why? The castle has never been attacked - why not? We had to find the old fireplace, the toilet and looked at the keep. Who would have lived there? The views from the castle were stunning!
We left the castle and had our lunch in Cave Dale. After lunch we visited Treak Cliff Cavern. The guide talked to us about stalactites and stalagmites, limestone, fossils and Blue John.

The children, staff and parents had a lovely day.
