The Christmas festivities started with Foundation Stage visiting High Riggs Nursery to choose a Christmas tree for the school.

All three year groups performed Christmas plays at Stannington Methodist Church.

Foundation Stage performed a nativity based on the story of the 'Little Red Hen'.

The Year 1 classes performed a traditional nativity.

The Year 2 classes performed 'The Little Fir Tree'

The festivities continued by serving tea and biscuits for the local old age pensioners.  They were entertained by the children singing and Foundation Stage performed their nativity play.

A Christingle service was held at Christ Church, Stannington.

We had a surprise visit from a very special person!

Finally the children enjoyed a Christmas party in the hall.
